Paul Daniels and the lovely Debbie McGee

As an eight year old boy I remember getting excited every Saturday night around 8:00pm when it was time for The Paul Daniels Magic Show on BBC1.

In fact I’d say its the main reason I got interested in magic and defiantly the reason I wanted to join The Magic Circle.So when I was asked to perform at Leamington and Warwick’s Annual society magic dinner, I said of course no problem I’ll do it, then they asked me if I’d be happy to perform at there invited guests table of course I said anyone important to the reply came yes its Paul Daniels and his wife Debbie.

When the night came I was excited and nervous the thought I’d be performing for my childhood magic hero was unbelievable, I went to there table just after the main course, I performed my close up set for just over ten minutes and the reactions were amazing.

Afterwards I spoke to Paul and Debbie and their comments about my act were great so yes for the rest of the night I had a big smile on my face and again I’d full filled a childhood dream I never thought I’d get to do.
