Brum Children’s Hospital raises 100K
This Weekend I performed at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity Winter Ball which was held in the Great Hall at Birmingham University wow what a venue.
Only improved by the amazing winter star effects that were set in the room. It was also great working along side Alistair McGowan for the first time.
After entertaining on both floors of the champagne reception for guests and VIP’s which was so much fun they all went through to dinner in the amazing Great Hall at Birmingham University. This is where the host for the night Alistair McGowan went to work.
Within minutes he had the three hundred guests rolling around laughing, definitely getting them in the mood to spend some money.
By the end of the event they had managed altogether to raise over 100k for the children’s hospital which is great news.
Birmingham Children’s Hospital has offered the very best specialist care for sick children for more than 150 years. It’s the generosity of their supporters, the determination of their leaders and the bravery of the patients that make it all possible – and every day you help us do even more, even better.
Their young patients have benefited immeasurably from the astonishing progress their fundraisers, volunteers and partners have enabled them to achieve since Dr Thomas Heslop set up the Birmingham and Midland Free Hospital for Sick Children in 1862.
Through the creation of the NHS in 1948 to their current Critical Journeys Appeal to raise funds to do more for critically ill babies and children, and beyond, you’ve been there. Your kindness and the expertise of their brilliant staff continue to bring hope and smiles to sick kids and their families, and save lives.
